-Traveling for day one

We traveled again. You took us away. I so appreciate you knowing what you wanted for us and yourself, and made it happen. I thoroughly enjoyed not only what we did, but the time we got to spend together. You said, not for the first time, we travel well together and that that in not that easy to find. Well if you think about it, neither is everything else we have. The traveling thing is just one more thing about us that makes a whole lot of sense to me. And just one more box of many that is checkable on the why I love you play-card. Want to know something else… I loved it when sang along with a few songs in the car, something about that felt so good to me. Not only did it sound right but it was like you were sharing something personal. Another layer. I love your layers.

The reason for the trip… pre first day back to work excursion. I guess any reason is a good one. I think day one will be a marvie day, it’s not your first day one. You know the drill and pretty much already what you will be doing. You have support and you are needed. I hate to say it’s almost auto pilot, because to get where you are took years of experience and absorbing knowledge, so the ‘hard part’ is on auto… the rest is just up to you to be you and enjoying that part. I’ve been around the block, seen people at many levels professionally and personally, and you still amaze me. So if it’s up to me, I say- worry about nothing, just soak in the moments and remember them, so you can tell me about it Monday night.
