Happy You’re Leaving.

 

I am actually happy you are leaving, I am pleased to see you go. I know you are traveling hundreds of miles away. I know we will be separated by time and space. And I feel excited.

 

I equate it to the rush I get when I leave your house and we are alone with our thoughts and selves. I get a sense of pleasure when I depart.

 

I know you are about to sit in the car after tossing the last items for your trip in the back, maybe a coffee in the cup holder, a last check of the mirrors before pulling out and off… And this is when I start to think to feel the joy knowing no matter how far or how long we are apart, I will never feel it. I will have you in me from head to toe and I know we will be together again- That is what is exciting, that is the feeling I love and count on. That is the time my creative head runs wild with thoughts of you, and us. And that always makes me smile.
